I’ve been a full-time freelance writer since 2012. My work regularly appears at Bankrate, Vox, Haven Life, and CreditCards.com; previously, I’ve written for Lifehacker, Popular Science, The Penny Hoarder, The Write Life, NBC News, Unbounce, and KlientBoost. I spent five years as a writer and editor for The Billfold, a personal finance blog where people had honest conversations about money.
I also teach writing, freelancing, and publishing classes (including online classes), and work one-on-one with freelancers and authors as a writing coach, developmental editor and career adviser.
My debut novel, The Biographies of Ordinary People, is a Millennial-era Little Women that follow three sisters from childhood to adulthood. Kirkus Reviews described it as “a shrewdly unique portrait of everyday America.”
