Fast practice vs. slow practice

Which is better?

I should present this without comment, except that would require you to watch forty minutes of me playing the piano:

If I were to comment, I’d say that more actual work — the real stuff, the kind of practice that changes reality — got done during the slow practice session.

The fast practice session didn’t actually accomplish anything, in that I wasn’t any better at playing the piece at the end of the 20-minute session than I was at the beginning.

Back to work. ❤️

(If you want more piano practice comparison videos, check out my post on focus vs. feelings — which, by the way, was written almost exactly one year ago.)
